NEW YORK WOW 2008

WOW-a week of workshops—enables those who are in love with dolls and the art of making them, a chance to learn, share and grow. For one week, we get to learn from some of the best known names in the polymer and cloth doll world. It is a week of renewing old acquaintances and making new ones.

Through the kindness and generosity of Joyce Miko, who with her sister Janet founded WOW, we are able to move WOW to New York in May of 2008. it will be located in Fishkill, NY just south of Poughkeepsie, NY. This location is approximately 30 minutes from Stewart International Airport and from the Metro North and Amtrak lines.

This website has the tentative workshops listed by media, instructor and then workshop descriptions are given. Teacher bios will be forthcoming as will links to individual teacher web sites when available. Please feel free to contact us at THENEWYORKWOW@AOL.COM.

Whether or not workshops go will be determined by the number of people signing up for them. Weekly updates will be done as to how many seats are still available for each workshop. If a class has the maximum number of students the teacher allows, a waiting list can be formed in case there is a cancellation. Final determination of which workshops definitely will be offered will be made by April, 1, 2008.
